Bonomi UK Ltd has added the Valpres Deadman Spring Return Lever into its product portfolio.

The product is suited for use in applications where, for safety reasons, it is imperative that a valve cannot be left in the open position by the operator. The valve will automatically close immediately the handle is released, thereby ensuring that safety is maintained should the operator become incapacitated or forget to close the valve.

The lever can also be set to spring to the open position when released if required by the customer. In addition, the Deadman Spring Lever also incorporates a locking slot which can be employed to prohibit operation by an unauthorised person.

Available through the company’s UK based Actuation Centre, the lever offers easy assembly in conjunction with Bonomi’s range of full-bore stainless-steel ball valves with ISO 5211 Pad and DIN 3337 stem.

Suitable for use with valve sizes from 1/2” (DN15) to 2” (DN50), the lever’s heavy-duty design means it can withstand use in a wide variety of working environments.

Bonomi’s new 723/724 direct mount valve body uses less steel which reduces the cost of the valve. The valve’s low torque design allows for the use of smaller, more compact actuators, saving space within the system while reducing costs.

Plant engineers and skid system manufacturers are constantly searching for ways to make their systems more compact, lighter, more efficient and more economical. Bonomi direct mount ASME/ANSI Class 150 wafer ball valves and valve packages meet these needs and more.

The new 723/724 direct mount valve body uses less steel which means a lower cost per valve than other wafers on the market. The valve’s low torque design allows for the use of smaller, more compact and efficient actuators. This saves space within the system while reducing materials, such as pipe supports, and labour costs. They are available in stainless or carbon steel.

The standard full-port ball provides the most efficient media flow, far superior to butterfly valves. There is almost no pressure loss as the interior dimensions of the valve are equal to the interior dimensions of the pipe with no obstructions.

The 723/724 series is also available in 30-60°, 60° and 90° V-port configurations. Direct mount valves come in pneumatic and electric actuated packages and in “deadman” spring return handle assemblies.

Bonomi’s Valbia-brand actuators are made at the company’s own manufacturing facilities in Italy. Bonomi actuators and valves are made to work together, giving buyers better performance and single-source accountability when choosing automated valve packages.

Bonomi UK has gained BS EN 14432 certification for PN 16 stainless steel valves of the compact Wafer type 720025 series and Split-Body series 760000.

The accreditation certifies the ball valves for loading and unloading potentially dangerous chemical products from tanks installed on road and rail vehicles. The standard is also applicable to liquified gases, including LPG.

The development further enhances Bonomi UK’s portfolio of products developed specifically for commercial vehicles operating in often harsh and demanding working environments. The accredited valves are manufactured by Bonomi Group company Valpres, who are renowned for steel and special alloy Control Ball Valves that are especially suited for use in industrial and Oil & Gas markets.

The accreditation was achieved thanks to the close working relationship that exists between Valpres and Bonomi UK, who share a common goal towards satisfying the most stringent production and product performance standards.

With huge stock holdings and the majority of its products available for same day despatch, Bonomi’s hydraulic industry customers have learned to depend upon the quality and reliability of its European-sourced range.

Comments Bonomi’s UK sales director Jason Hill: “In the ten years since we entered the market we have made great strides to become a major UK source of high quality hydraulic components.

“Unlike some other suppliers in the marketplace, all our products are carefully sourced from Europe-based manufacturers who share our high-performance standards and do not compromise on quality over cost.

“The fact that we do not operate a minimum order value means that we can satisfy our client’s requirements even when they are placing very small orders or just looking for individual products.”

Bonomi has produced a dedicated Hydraulic Components catalogue giving an overview of the range, which is available on request.

The investment made by Bonomi (UK) Ltd 18 months ago in a new purpose-designed 360m2 storage and actuation facility is thriving, with the company experiencing a significant increase in actuated valve sales.

The valve and actuator specialist’s decision to expand, came in response to a rise in demand for its actuated valve service. This in turn prompted a requirement for additional warehousing capacity, enabling Bonomi to maintain the rapid delivery service for which it is renowned.

The extra capacity provided by the expansion, combined with space vacated at The Fluid Power Centre where the majority of Bonomi’s stock was previously held, is also providing peace of mind for customers in the current market, by allowing the company to maintain a 30% greater stock holding as part of its pre-BREXIT preparations.

The additional space has also enabled a broader range of products to be stocked in the UK, including oil & gas valves from Bonomi’s Valpres division, as well as products from other suppliers that complement its existing ranges.

The increased stock handling capacity is further enhanced by Bonomi’s wide-ranging and knowledgeable UK based technical support.
